On this beautiful and amazing Langtang Valley trekking, you will enjoy views of massive Ganesh Himal (7,405 m) Langtang Lirung (7,234 m) Ghengu Liru(Langtang II 6571m / 21,560ft), Kimshun (6,745m/22,137ft) and Shalbachum(6,918m / 22,699ft) to the south. Whereas, Chimsedang Lekh is a ridge of peaks which includes Naya-Kanga (5,846m) and Gangchempo, Tilman’s beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal, terminating at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m/22,929ft).
How to reach in Langtang Valley?
Langtang Valley Panorama trekking starts with an ever-exciting drive leading to the high alpine country around Nepal’s 2nd largest Langtang National Park. It is the first Park around Himalaya established in 1976 with an area of 1,710 sq. km.
After the long drive, we will begin our walk from Syabrubesi village. Leading uphill to reach the alpine forested area into a gorge of beautiful dense rhododendron and pines trees where Red Panda habitats and then slowly our lovely and scenic walk enters a wide valley of Langtang at Kyanjin Gompa the highest spot of this trip.
After an enjoyable time with fascinating views of high mountains and rolling green hills heading back to Kathmandu via the same way down to Syabrubesi.
When to trek in Langtang Valley?
The time of June and July in Nepal is the rainy season, therefore, travelers suffer a lot due to the choppy road and muddy road in travel. Sometimes, due to landslides, there’s occur traffic jam for hours or sometimes days. However, at the time of September to mid-December, the weather becomes warm and the travel becomes smooth.

On arrival in Kathmandu received by Pristine Nepal staff and guide for a short drive to your hotel at Thamel the hub of Kathmandu city where many hotels, restaurants, trekking gear shops, stores, bars, cafes, souvenir shops, art gallery, travel agencies are located. Our guide or group leader will brief with information regarding hotels, culture with do’s and don’ts.
Our wonderful journey to Langtang Valley Panorama trekking starts with a morning drive towards high hills of Langtang to Syabrubesi, an exciting drive leading past many farm village and towns to reach warm areas at Trisuli Bazaar. After a short break drive heads towards cooler area at Ramche and Dhunche town at 1,960 m, at the entrance of Langtang National Park Dhunche a major town of Rasuwa district and Langtang region.From here drive leads downhill on the zig-zag winding road to end the journey for the day at Syabrubesi village for a first overnight stop in Langtang area.
Beginning our first day walk with a climb for few hours heading towards scattered farm areas and villages, walking continues near Riverside and Bamboo place with few tea houses and lodges. After a refreshing break, our walk continues into the cool forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines trees entering a gorge following Langtang River, feeding from the glacier of Langtang peaks, and then completing the day walk at Lama Hotel for an overnight stop.
After a pleasant overnight with the sound of the river flowing, morning walk starts heading uphill through a gorge of dense forest, then reaching a nice spot at Ghodetabla (horse stable), from here altitude gains slowly and air gets cooler. After lunch break walk continues to Langtang village for an overnight stop as the walk leads past woodland and then coming into a wider area at Langtang village, a nice moderate size village of Tamang and Bhotia’s tribe peoples. (This village was completely destroyed by avalanche of 25th April and 12th May 2015 huge earthquakes).
Today on the trail and first highlight of the adventure, as the morning trek leads to Kyanjin Gompa at Langtang valley, walking follows with short steep up as tree lines drops for short bushes of rhododendron, juniper, and prickly Burberry bushes. Our walk slowly enters a wide beautiful glacial valley with views of high snowcapped mountains on both side of the valley, after a scenic and nice morning walk reaching at Kyanjin Gompa for overnight stop. Kyanjin located at picturesque Langtang valley with wide green meadows actually a summer pasture and grazing land for Yaks.
This lovely spot offers views of Langtang Lirung glacier and ice fall at close distance, Kyanjin named after an old Gompa (monastery) at present in near ruins perched on a rocky moraine ridge top, at Kyanjin visit Yak Cheese Factory established 30 years ago with the help and support of Swiss technical assistance.
A perfect spot for rest and free day at Kyanjin, to enjoy the lovely surrounding, here take a short hike on top of Kyanjin Ri at 4,773m for beautiful mountains view. Or Climb to Tsergo Ri with quite steep slopes offering a fantastic panorama of surrounding mountains where you need to climb 4 hours to the top which offers 360° mountain views.
From Kyanjin hills and Tsergo-Ri top super views of Chimsedang Lekh, and Kangjal Himal with ridge of peaks bordering the valley to the south, Naya Kanga 5,844m, stunning views of the great mountains flanking the Langtang valley, including Ganchenpo 6,387m, Dorje Lakpa 6,990 m, Pemthang Karpo Ri 6,830m, Langtang Lirung 7,245m and across the northern boundary in Tibet rises the huge massive Shishapangma 8,014 m the last worlds 14th highest mountain located in Tibet.
After a pleasant and exciting overnight and rest day at Kyanjin and beautiful Langtang valley, morning walk leading to a long descent to Lama Hotel passing via Langtang village and Ghodetabla following Langtang Khola and back at Lama Hotel for an overnight stop.
From Lama Hotel, morning walk follows downhill to Bamboo a small place with few tea houses serving as a lodge. After a nice short rest continue to follow Langtang River. You will be at Syabrubesi around afternoon. It will be free afternoon.
Morning drive leads on mountain road passing farm villages of Tamang through Thulo Varkhu, Dhunche (district headquarter of Rasuwa) Thade, Ramche, Kalikasthan and downhill road to Trisuli then on a nice road through mountain reaching at Kathmandu back into your hotel, afternoon free for individual activities and shopping.
