Meals:
- Most teahouses along the Langtang Valley Trek offer a variety of meals, including Nepalese, Tibetan, and international cuisine.
- Dal Bhat, a traditional Nepalese dish consisting of rice, lentil soup, and vegetables, is a popular and affordable meal option for trekkers.
It’s also a good idea to bring some snacks and energy bars for the trail.
Accommodations:
- Teahouses are the most common form of accommodation along the Langtang Valley Trek, offering basic but comfortable rooms with shared bathrooms.
- In some of the larger villages, there may be options for more upscale accommodations, such as lodges or guesthouses.
- It’s important to note that during peak trekking season (October-November and March-April), teahouses can fill up quickly, so it’s best to make reservations in advance if possible.
Permits
For Langtang Valley Trek you will be needing a TIMS card (Trekkers Information Management System) which costs around US $10 and a Langtang National Park permit which will cost US $34 per person. For the TIMS card you can arrange it in Kathmandu but for the Langtang National Park permit you to have to reach Dunche.
