Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour
Muktinath pilgrimage tour is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists, located at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass in the Mustang district.
The name Muktinath evolved from the Sanskrit words “Mukti”, which means “Salvation or Nirvana” and “Nath”, which means “God or Master”. Similarly, Muktinath Temple has a pagoda-style design, dedicated to Lord Bishnu. And, it is considered to be one of the eight sacred places known as Svayam Vyakta Kshetras (the other seven being Srirangam, Srimushnam, Tirupati, Naimisharanya, Totadri, Pushkar and Badrinath), as well as one of the 108 Vaishnava shrines.
Muktinath pilgrimage tour is also known as a religious tour. Pilgrims come every year regardless of the weather & dipping themselves into pools under 108 running fountains. Likewise, taking a bath in these 108 waterspouts and two Kunda (ponds) believes to bring salvation.

Our journey starts on the second day from Kathmandu to Pokhara which will take up to 5-6 hours. In Pokhara, you will then enjoy your evening at the lakeside. On the third day, you will again take a vehicle to go to Jomsom. You will have a wonderful stay in Jomsom and don’t forget to eat the apple in Jomsom.
After a delicious breakfast in Jomsom on 4th day, you will go direct to Muktinath on a vehicle which will take 1-2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful scenery from there as well as worship in the Muktinath temple. After finishing your exploration in Muktinath, you will have to return back to Jomsom for a night stay. From there, you will return back to Pokhara through the bus on the 5th day and then Kathmandu on the 6th day.
Best months for the Muktinath pilgrimage tour?
March, April, May, June, September, October, and November are the best for Muktinath pilgrimage tour. Because during these months the weather will be clear and snowcapped mountains can be observed closely. Similarly, during the Autumn season, the weather gets warm and dry which makes the perfect day to travel. And, during the Spring season, there will be greenery all places and the flowers will bloom.
