Your pilgrimage in Kathmandu starts with a visit to the sacred Budhanilkantha Temple, home to the largest stone statue of Lord Vishnu in Nepal, reclining in the cosmic ocean. This site holds immense spiritual significance for Hindus and is believed to be a place of great power.

Next, you’ll visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a major pilgrimage destination for devotees from around the globe. After offering your prayers, you’ll proceed to the nearby Guhyeshwari Temple, another important Shakti Peeth dedicated to Goddess Parvati. The day will be filled with spiritual rituals and deep reflection as you connect with the sacred energy of these ancient sites.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a serene city known for its tranquil lakes and stunning mountain views. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you’ll check into your hotel and then enjoy a short city tour around the lakeside. Take in the peaceful atmosphere of Phewa Lake, where you can relax by the water, take a boat ride, or explore the local shops and cafes. The evening is free for you to enjoy the beauty of Pokhara at your own pace.

Today, you’ll journey to one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Nepal, the Muktinath Temple, located in the Mustang region. The drive takes you through the rugged landscapes of the Himalayas, offering breathtaking views along the way.

Muktinath Temple is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists, believed to be a place of liberation and salvation. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the eight most sacred shrines for Hindu Vaishnavas. Upon arrival, you’ll check into a local lodge and have some time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. The serene environment of Muktinath, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and a peaceful atmosphere, prepares you for the spiritual experience that awaits you the next morning.

Rise early for a pre-dawn visit to Muktinath Temple, where you’ll perform your puja (worship) and offer prayers at the sacred site. The temple complex includes the famous 108 water spouts, where pilgrims take a ritual bath, believed to purify the body and soul. After completing your spiritual rituals and spending some quiet time in contemplation, you’ll begin your journey back to Pokhara. The drive offers another chance to soak in the majestic Himalayan views. Once in Pokhara, you can unwind and reflect on the day’s spiritual experiences.

Your day begins with an early morning trip to Sarangkot, where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna mountain range. After soaking in the panoramic views, you’ll visit the towering Shiva Statue at Pumdikot, a peaceful spot that offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.

Next, you’ll head to the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa that symbolizes peace and offers beautiful views of Pokhara, Phewa Lake, and the mountains. Your pilgrimage continues with a visit to the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a sacred site dedicated to Lord Shiva, where a natural shrine is formed by a stalagmite.

Afterward, you’ll visit Bindhyabasini Temple, one of the oldest temples in Pokhara, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. Your day concludes with a visit to Barahi Temple, located on an island in the middle of Phewa Lake. This two-story pagoda-style temple is dedicated to the goddess Barahi and is accessible only by boat, making it a unique and serene place for worship.

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Kurintar, a small town known for its connection to the sacred Manakamana Temple. Upon arrival, you’ll take a thrilling cable car ride up to the temple, which is perched on a hilltop offering stunning views of the surrounding valleys. The Manakamana Temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bhagwati, and it is believed that wishes made here come true. After offering your prayers and exploring the area, you’ll have time to enjoy the peaceful environment before retiring for the night in a nearby lodge.

Begin your day with a morning puja at the Manakamana Temple, taking in the serene atmosphere and the spiritual energy of the site. After completing your worship, you’ll descend via cable car back to Kurintar. From there, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic beauty of the Nepalese countryside along the way.
