Outline Itinerary of Mount Everest Trek
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,335 m, the capital city of Nepal and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Short flight to Lukla 2,800 m (30 minutes) and trek to Phakding 2,660 m – 4 hours
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazar 3,440 m – 6 hours
Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar and sightseeing day too
Day 05: Trek to Tyangboche 3,810 m – 6 hours
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche 4,400 m – 5 hours
Day 07: Acclimatization day and sightseeing too
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche 4,910 m – 5 hours
Day 09: Trek to Mount Everest base camp 5,360 m and overnight at Gorakshep 5,180 m – 7 hours
Day 10: Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m and trek down to Pheriche 4,200 m – 8 hours
Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazar 3,440 m – 7 hours
Day 12: Trek to Lukla 2,800 m – 7 hours
Day 13: Short flight to Kathmandu 1,335m (30 minutes)

Everest base camp trek is the best trekking destination in the world. You can feel Everest and Himalaya in your life while you trek here. It is not only walking and trekking in the massive Himalaya, but you also experience it, you feel it, and you fall into Sherpa culture within the lap of beautiful high land. You face challenges, ups, and downs of Himalaya.

Mount Everest trek starts with a short and scenic flight to Lukla 2,800m from Kathmandu 1,335m, the capital city of Nepal. Lukla is known as the most difficult airfield in the world. This is a beautiful Sherpa village with many different ethnicities although this is Sherpa land. Chaurikharka, Thado Koshi, Ghat, Phakding, Tok Tok, Monjo, Jorsalle are Sherpa’s settlement on the way to Namche Bazar.
Namche Bazar 3,440m is the most popular and beautiful place as an entrance of Mount Everest. It has many tourist standard guest houses, lodges, hotels, restaurants, pub, shopping center, trekking, and climbing gears shops. Bank, police station, military base, public school, health post are here. You can see high peaks including Mount Everest 8,848m, Lhotse 8,516m, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khumbila, Kusum Himal, Kongde, and others many more.
Normally, trekkers stay two nights at Namche Bazar for acclimatization and at least one more night on the way back from Everest base camp. Tyangboche is another destination after Namche Bazar where you can see one of the oldest monasteries in this area. Tyangboche monastery is well known for trekkers and climbers. They get blessed by Lama. Dingboche 4,400m is other beautiful Sherpa village and trekkers stop two nights here too for acclimatization. Acclimatization at Dingboche 4,400m helps so far to trek to Everest base camp 5,360m. Comparatively, Lobuche 4,910m and Gorakshep 5,180m are hard for trekkers to sleep.
Mount Everest base camp 5,360m is an amazing place just two hours from Gorakshep. You can see many ice lakes which are small-small in size. You have an attractive Khumbu icefall here just front of base camp where Everest climbers test their skills. Khumbu icefall is an iron gate for climbers. You do not see Mount Everest top from the base camp so that trekkers would like to go another point called Kalapathar 5,545m after base camp as well. It is just on left top from Gorakshep. Kalapathar offers beautiful sun setting views on the top of Mount Everest.
Finally, trekkers go back to Lukla Everest base camp and Kalapather. Normally, they have the almost same way to go back to Lukla via Lobuche 4,910 m, Pheriche 4,200m, Pangboche 4,000m, Tyngboche 3,810m, Namche Bazar 3,440m, and Lukla 2,800m.
