Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu 1,335 m, capital city of Nepal and transfer to hotel

Pristine Nepal Treks guide will pick you up after your arrival at the airport. You will have a short drive to the hotel. Normally, we bring a guest at Thamel so that they could get all types of the facility like gears shop, art shop, souvenirs shop, hotels, malls, restaurants, travel agencies, trekking agencies, banks, & more.

If your arrival is in the daytime you will get the chance to explore the Thamel area and your trekking guide will brief regarding your trekking also.

Meals:Breakfast, lunch & Dinner

Day 2
Fly to Lukla 2,800m & trek to Phakding 2,660m – 03 hours

Your guide will come to your hotel early in the morning to pick you up. You will have a short drive to the domestic airfield today. From there it’s a short scenic flight to Lukla.

It’s the same Lukla airport which is the most dangerous airport in the world. It is located over 2,800m on top of the sea level & on the lap of the mountain. Sometimes, the terribly unstable weather makes it too difficult for flight. So, the flight may get canceled. That is why we recommend you to have at least 1/2 days extra holiday/time.

You’ll meet your porter at Lukla & breakfast there too. It will take only 30 min to reach Lukla. From there, you have to trek for 3 hours to reach Phakding by walking. And today, you will spend your night in Phakding.

Day 3
Trekking to Namche Bazar 3,440m – 06 hours turtle walk

After breakfast in Phakding, we will continue our trek to Namche Bazar at 7/8 am. The path is straightforward until we reach Monjo, Jorsalle. In jorsalle, you will have your lunch break about 1 hour.

Continuing from Jorsalle, you’ll have some few suspension bridges on the Dudhkoshi River to cross. Here, you will see one famed highest bridge known as Hillary Bridge before Namche bazar with colorful Buddhist prayer flags.

Most of the time you’ll meet several Donkeys, Jokpyos (breeding from yak & cow), on the way too. You have to be very careful with those animals. It’s recommended to lean on the sidewall when encountering them.

At last, you’ll have to climb a steep mountain before reaching Namche Bazar. This day, you’ll have your national park permit also. Because from here, you will be in the territory of Sagarmatha National Park which is listed in Heritage Site also. You may encounter some wild endangered animals in the path too.

Day 4
Acclimatization day; visit Syangboche 3,800m for Mt. Everest view

Namche Bazar is 3,440m high which will be your first highest altitude. That is why today, you will have an acclimatization day in Namche Bazar. Today you can explore Namche Bazar including Sherpa Museum and Mt. Everest view hotel.

Namche Bazar is a well-liked Sherpa village but little developed. This place had been famed for the Tibetan market also due to some Tibetan cultures & traditions. Similarly, Tibetan individuals accustomed to come back here with their several Chinese products. They come to purchase some Nepali native product as well as sell.

Day 5
Trek to Tyangboche 3,810m – 06 hours

The trek will start after the delicious breakfast at Namche. You will need to climb a short steep from Namche Bazar. Today’s path will be straight with nice views of Himalaya once crossing Namche Bazar for a handful of hours. After reaching Lausasa, you will have two ways. For information, one goes up to Gokyo lake valley and one goes right down to Fungi Thanga. And to reach Everest Base Camp, it’s all downhill to Fungi Thanga.

You will have to climb up once more for a couple of hours to Tyangboche once lunch at Fungi thanga.

Tyangboche is one of the holy places in the Khumbu region which has the oldest monastery. It’s a well-liked monastery in this area. Monks live here most of the year singing & praying in the morning. Thus, you will have an opportunity to check this ceremony also. Similarly, Tyangboche offers a lovely view of Mt. Everest & other beautiful mountains.

Day 6
Trek to Dingboche 4,400m – 05 hours

The morning starts at Tyangboche with a delicious breakfast. Today’s trek is a little bit downhill to Deboche through the shrub forest. The path is easy to trek and straight. You’ll have to cross Dudh Koshi stream before the ascent to Pangboche.

Pangboche is another Sherpa village. As for the records, many Sherpas from this village touched the Mt. Everest which is the world’s highest peak. After reaching the Somare, you will have a lunch break. Then, it’s a short walk to reach Dingboche which is at 4,400m.

Day 7
Acclimatization day and sightseeing in Dingboche

Today, you will have another rest day/acclimatization day in Dingboche. You will climb to Nagarjuna peak for testing your trekking ability today.

Nagarjuna is nearly 5,100m high which is terribly steep upward. However, It might be easier to climb to Everest base camp if you are able to climb this one. Otherwise, you can have a couple of hours hike to Chhukung village which is on the way to Island peak.

Day 8
Trek to Lobuche 4,910m – 05 hours

Today, you will continue your trek to Lobuche. It’s a pleasant path, nearly flat road with little bit climb from Dingboche. However, even if it’s straight & easy, don’t walk fast. If you walk fast even in flat trail, you may get AMS/altitude sickness also.

You’ll have a lunch break at Thukla/Dukla 4,630m. From here, it’s a steep-up to the highest of the mountain. Due to high altitude, you should trek slowly-slowly and drink lots of water.

After you reach up, you’ll able to see several memorials of different mountaineers. Lobuche offers some lovely mountains view & cool temperature. Many trekkers criticism regarding altitude issues during this place, if you’re obtaining AMS symptoms please talk to your guide. Stay warm, stay safe.

Day 9
Trek to base camp 5,360m & back to Gorakshep 5,180m – 7 hours

Today is the highlight day for this trek. You will trek to the highest base camp of the highest mountain.

Everest base camp 5,364m is considered as the highest base camp. You need only three hours roughly to reach to Gorakshep 5,180m from Lobuche. You can leave all your bag pack at Gorakshep except water bottle and camera.

Its two hours from Gorakshep to reach to Everest base camp. You can see a big Khumbu icefall nearby base camp. However, you will see many tenting here in the spring season and almost no tent in the autumn season. All veteran climbers set their camps before attempting to the summit.

Nowadays there is a mobile reception as well & if you wish, you can talk back to the home with your family. After a tiring day, it will be better just making photographs and enjoying the Everest base camp.

After a historic moment on Everest base camp go back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop. If you are not that tired from altitude and trekking, you are recommended to climb up to Kalapathar 5,545m for sunset view on Mount Everest. Otherwise, you can attempt Kalapathar the next morning.

Day 10
Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m and trek down to Pheriche 4,200 m – 8 hours

After a tremendous experience of Mt. Everest base camp, it’s time to trek right down to Lukla. This morning starts with a breakfast uphill from Gorakshep to trek. Downhill all the time to Pheriche 4,200 for nursing. Otherwise, you could have a versatile camp to prevent. If you’re not that tired you will trek right down to Pangboche to prevent extra day.

Day 11
Trek to Namche Bazar – 07 hours

Can I book my trip at the time of June-Aug?

Yes, you can do it even in June-Aug too but you will need extra days just for incase if anything happens because this is monsoon season. The domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla to Kathmandu can be delayed due to bad weather. Normally, weather on high altitude area is fine at this time.

Can I customize my trip?

No, there is no any hidden charges for what we have provided facilities. But if you used the horse for riding, helicopter instead of flying domestic flight, using five-star accommodation in Katmandu, that is your own cost.

Is there an Age limit to trek in Everest Base Camp?

Yes, people as young as Seven and old as 70 have successfully completed the trek. But it doesn’t mean everyone can do, especially if your children have never done any hiking in high altitude before, you can’t bring them just for their safety.
