Grateful to Mr. Felix

Free volunteering Nepal

Our volunteer from Basque country Mr. Felix Alonso did computer teaching volunteering in remote area of Nepal.  We Pristine Nepal Treks Pvt. Ltd had coordinated with Mr. Felix to do volunteering in rural schools. We are extremely grateful to Mr. Felix for his effort of supporting rural kids and the needy ones. Rural school kids and teachers were thankful to get some basic computer skill from Mr. Felix.

Here under is given, the feedback of Mr. Felix Alonso

I have had a really happy time teaching computer skills and living a real Nepalese family experience in the small village of Amkot (Salang).

After contacting Free-Volunteering-Nepal they found for me the right place to share my computer skills while enjoying the Nepalese hospitality in Amkot.

At my arrival at Shree Mahakali Basic School the old computer haven’t been working for long time, so we were happy to give good use to the old laptop my enterprise Arcelormittal Olaberria had donated. Teachers were eager to learn, and it was a real pleasure guiding them on the basic steps of using word and excel. We could also practice how to use the projector they have to play English learning rhymes and other folk videos (for sure children were excited to enjoy them!)

During my time in Amkot I lived with Man Bahadur’s family. They welcomed me like family, and I felt really at home and well taken care of. They wouldn’t speak English but our curiosity on each other culture made us being close, and I could learn some words in Magar, and share the real life of a Nepalese family, which is a great treasure for me.

Sharing our social projects interest with Ganesh was also very enriching. His insight of Nepal and of Magar culture will make you understand many aspects of what you will experience. His gentleness towards me was a reflect of the relief their projects provide to the small comunities they work with.
